Two bright cherries are the worldwide trademark of the company Kirschen which is the epitome of solid tools for many wood craftsmen. The company has been producing tools in Remscheid, Germany for more than 150 years and has developed and produced more than 2,000 items over this time. Their main products are chisels and carving tools which are made in all sizes. Around 400,000 tools are sent out from the company every year. Sticking to company policy, all tools are made in Germany. Why however, the founder, Wilhelm Schmitt chose two bright cherries to be his logo, has never really been discovered.
